Community members with low economic opportunities have weak coping mechanisms that hinder their participation in development. We are therefore keen on contributing to economic development while improving the quality of life in our communities.
As Co-op Foundation, one of our key focus areas is providing access to sponsorship, guidance and mentorship for children/young people particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Co-op Foundation has embarked on a number of projects that seek to empower the youth, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and enable them to become self-sufficient. We run youth empowerment programs as well as organize career and mentorship workshops to advance their careers or equip them with entrepreneurial skills. These enable them to earn more income and elevate their financial standing.
One of Co-op Foundation’s key responsibilities is implementing CSR programs that not only increase the economic and social standing of local communities, but also ensure that these programs offer sustainable solutions that can be carried into the long term.
We seek to partner with like-minded organizations to achieve our goals which range from achieving food security, extending inclusive and quality education for all as well as ensuring access to clean water, energy and work opportunities.
